In 1924, Adi joined forces with his brother Rudolf, and together they founded Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, or Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory. Their early products were aimed at athletes, and they quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality, innovative footwear.
Adi was constantly tinkering with new designs and materials, and his efforts paid off. The company's shoes were worn by athletes in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, including the legendary Jesse Owens.
Owens' four gold medals not only made him a sports hero but also put Dassler's shoes in the spotlight on a global stage.
